Hi Bert!
I know I promised to send you some pics of when Laurence gave me MinTee (her barn name now!) and I am finally getting them to you!

You can see my total surprise at getting her.

MinTee is doing just great, although I have not seen her in a week as I had to come back to VA now. She is just so gorgeous and sweet. We have found a wonderful reining trainer not too far from here in Damascus, MD, called Summer Wind Farms. They are training NRHA champions so we think MinTee will love it there for training. It is only 40 miles from here, so I will be able to get up there often too. I wish we could have her closer to Reston, but we want top training so we are lucky to find one that close.

We are hoping to bring her and our other two horses back to this area by mid August.

So…..I just cannot wait to see her in a few more weeks.

Take care,
Tee

Hey guys. Thought you'd like an update on Mia. She went to her first show this weekend. From loading onto the trailer, to getting back home again, she was perfect! Now I know she's quiet but I never expected her to act as good as she did. She was an absolute dream to show.........she's already figured out the halter class routine. After her 2nd class she started to square herself up. She had 4 classes in total. Her first class was Non-Pro Mares, it was a huge class of 21. We went in the middle of the pack and I think she only moved 3 or 4 times. She really shined in the Colour classes. I led her into Non-Pro Colour (17 entries). She stood like a statue, and came out with a 1st and a 5th. Dad led her into the Open Colour (with 16 entries). She was a doll for him too and was placed 1st, 4th and 4th. So she is now a point earner in Open & Non-Pro Colour. We couldn't be happier with her. She has the greatest attitude and is so willing and eager to please. I've attached 3 pictures of her that Mom took at the show. Our next show with Mia is the Canadian Nationals in Brandon Manitoba. Anyways, just wanted to let you know how happy we are with her. Congrats on breeding such a fabulous filly!

Roberta & Jim,

You are the second to know and the first to see the photos. We did it again, a black & white filly. This one is marked different, and is a little taller than CJay was. She was born at 3:15 AM this morning (5-24-2007).

Tell Jay he did a great job again.

It is the first foal Amber hasn't been here for; she was sure glad I called and woke her up to tell it was here thou. She was planning on it coming while she was here this weekend taking care of the horses while we are in Memphis helping Paul with the show down there; but now she can play with it and get it broke to lead for me Right!!

Thanks again for the great foal,
Niceene

Jim & Bert,

Had to send you a couple of photos of our little Rockstar( Hollywood Hotrod & Mystic Roxanne) and my daughter Rheanne. Rocky turned two this year and already has about 20 light rides on him. He was the easiest horse I've ever broke, and I've never broke one (lol).

We thought we'd take him out yesterday and stretch his legs at an area local show. What a trooper. My husband rode him around the grounds as well as the show ring. Rocky has proven himself willing, kind, sensible, and soo soo trainable. He is truly becoming our trustworthy family horse and he's only two. We are so confident in him, we are thinking of putting him in leadline with Rheanne at our next show.

My utmost compliments to your breeding program. Rocky is one of four of your horses that we now have the pleasure of owning. I never hesitate to tell of Rocky's fans about Folgate Appaloosas. Bless you both.

New Colt owned by Bob and Marla Deans

New foal from John and Pam Meyers

Hi Jim and Bert,

Sorry I haven't been in touch; Lolo foaled Saturday morning with a really leggy stud colt. She was at 355 days... quite a bit overdue. To top it off, she didn't have any milk and we had to have the vet give him artificial colostrum and I had to bottle feed every 3 hours. By Tuesday, Lolo came into milk so all is well now.

He has all the characteristics...mottled skin, white schelera, striped hooves AND COLOR!! At this time the only real fault I can see is that his right knee/pastern turns out lightly and he is kind of narrow in the chest, but he keeps improving day by day. He was really large and she had quite a time but she is going back in shape real nicely now.

Hope you enjoy the photos!

Kind regards,
Pam

Foal by Mystic Doc Jay

To Jim and Bert:

I just want to say that I have just recently became a horsey grandma and am very proud of the foal that was produced from the mare that I used to own and by the stallion Mystic Doc Jay. I know that the present owners are very happy with their foal and I just want to brag a little and show off a picture of the color and quality produced at Folgate Appaloosas! Your operation is second to none and I will be back to you when I decide to get back into horses.

Thanks,
Mindy and Bret Paulson

Colt by Mystic Doc Jay and out of SZQ Strawberry Alice
owned by Nancy Snyder

Hi,

We love our foal by Mystic Doc Jay. He lopes around the pasture low headed and flat kneed. He is very friendly and whinnies every time we come into the barn. Here are a few pics.

Thank you,
Jasmine Richards and Nancy Snyder

Colt by Mystic Print and out of Rubys Jewel, owned by Sandy Rogers

Hi Jim and Bert,

Just wanted to let you know that Jewel presented us with a very handsome colt early Sunday morning. He is absolutely beautiful! Looks to be a dun with black points...dorsal stripe right into the snowcap. He has the cutest face ever, too! He also seems to be the friendliest colt we've ever had. Thank you so much. Please give Print a special little treat from me! Hope to see you at the Midwest Horse Fair and I sure am looking forward to seeing more of YOUR babies.

Thanks again,
Sandy
